Saint Agidius Catholic Church in Vilseck, Germany

Saint Ägidius Vilseck Catholic Church in Vilseck, Germany dates back to the llth century when a stone church first stood on the site. A second church, in gothic style, was built between 1407 and 1412. In 1751, a Baroque style addition was put on. The building was restored in 1973. It is said that Ägidius, the namesake of this church, protected a deer from King Flavius Wamba who was hunting it.
